Last week in a news release Edible Brands announced the launch of Edibles.com calling it a “wellness-driven marketplace” that offers “convenient same-day delivery of trusted THC-infused products.”
The e-commerce platform plans to sell “leading brands” of these products such as Cann, Wana, 1906 and others.
Edibles.com is led by Thomas Winstanley, who the company identified as a “cannabis industry veteran.”

The new company said the hemp industry faces challenges due to a market “saturated with products that lack consistent quality and testing standards, adding to consumer confusion and hesitancy.”
Edibles.com added that it tackles these problems “head-on” with its “robust education center, reliable delivery, and partnerships.”
Somia Farid Silber, CEO of Edible Brands, called the hemp industry “rapidly evolving” in a statement. The company said there’s an estimated $28 billion market for THC-infused hemp products.
Hemp and marijuana differ from each other because marijuana is made with the dried leaves, flowers and seeds of cannabis plants whereas hemp is made from the stalks, stems and seeds of cannabis, according to the American Cancer Society .While both plants contain THC and CBD, hemp carries less THC than marijuana does, the group added.
