Cura Co. is accusing Jamison Vosnos of sharing confidential information with Michael Quattrone of Crowded House cannabis.
Curaleaf Holdings Inc. (OTC: CURLF) is suing its former Director of Operations Jamison Vosnos accusing him of sharing confidential information with Michael Quattrone of Crowded House.
Curaleaf hired Vosnos in July 2020 to work for its Colorado subsidiary, Cura Co. (CCO), as its Senior Director of Operations. As part of this employment, Vosnos signed an “Employee Confidentiality, Proprietary Rights, Non-Solicitation and Non-Competition Agreement.” The document states he agreed to not share confidential information with people outside the company or interfere with the company’s customers. He also agreed to not engage in acts that would conflict with the company. It is this agreement that CCO accuses Vosnos of breaching. Crowd House connection
Crowded Group is a licensed owner entity and is the sole member of multiple retail and medical marijuana entities, including Colo. Cannabis Co. and 505 Center. Quattrone is one of the majority owners of Crowded Group and its subsidiaries. In early 2021, CCO and Crowded Group signed contracts where CCO would provide cannabis to the Crowded Group entities and the services Crowded Group would perform on behalf of CCO. The complaint states that the relationship between the two companies worked well for two years, but in the second half of 2022, CCO began to suspect that CCO wasn’t satisfying its obligations to the deal. CCO alleges that Crowded Group was not providing an accurate accounting of the cannabis processed, wasting marijuana, and generally failing to keep CCO appraised of its required documentation records and the whereabouts of CCO’s marijuana. CCO said it sent numerous demands to Crowded Group requesting information and documentation about the location of CCO marijuana and marijuana products without receiving substantive response or feedback from Crowded Group.
According to the complaint, by the end of 2022, the relationship had broken down and CCO believed it was missing a substantial amount of marijuana inventory that it had provided to Crowded Group for manufacturing and processing for which Crowded Group failed to account.
