How are brands providing that better-for-you buzz?
While traditional energy drinks (think Red Bull and Monster) still top the consumption charts, there’s a rise in better-for-you options. In fact, these drinks saw the biggest increase in consumption between January 2023 and 2024, according to stats from Mintel .
But what makes for a ‘natural’ energy drink? With natural energy drinks on no short supply on the show floor at trade show SIAL in Paris this year, we asked the brands what ingredients they’re turning to for that clean energy boost and how they’re appealing to health-conscious consumers. Alkaline water brand Actiph has ventured out into the booming energy category with Acti+.
The nootropic clean energy drink is natural, sugar-free, low calorie and a way to improve cognitive performance, reduce fatigue, support immune health and more.
Each can contains 100% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamins B5, B6, B9, B12, and zinc.
With the inclusion of natural caffeine (80g), L-Carnitine, natural sweeteners & flavors, and at only 3 calories per can, Acti+ is positioned as an alternative to sugary, artificial energy drinks.
The drink’s flavors include Strawberry and Dragon Fruit, Peach and Apricot, and Pineapple and Yuzu.
