I freakin’ love grape flavoring, fake and natural, and so do cannabis growers.

Audio By Carbonatix Dear Stoner: What strains out there taste the most like grape? I’ve become addicted to grape-flavored things and enjoy grape weed, too. Grape Guy Dear Grape Guy: Fellow grape guy here. I freakin’ love grape flavoring, fake and natural, and so do cannabis growers. Any dispensary worth your time will have at least one or two grape-leaning offerings. Don’t accept anything less. Grape Pie’s syrupy flavor is reminiscent of Welch’s grape soda. There are always classics, like Concord Crush, Grand Daddy Purple , Purple Punch and Grape Ape (if you can find anyone decent growing it), but if you want the best chance at tasting grape-flavored hits, it’s best to go modern. Colorado rosin-maker Lazercat has a knack for evoking purple-flavored freeze pops and candy with its Grape Cookies and Grape Nerdz, two staples of any grape stash. Single Source, another Colorado operation, also produces top-quality flower and hash that are big on grape flavors, including Dulce de Uva , Gastro Pop and Grape Pie; the syrupy, Welch’s-like smoke of Grape Pie is one of my all-time favorites. Grape Cream Cake is another popular strain for purple pot puffers, but the quality of growers may vary. Send questions to marijuana@westword.com.
