Portland-based cannabis company Grön on Monday announced the release of two new weed edibles featuring designs created especially for Halloween. The new products, creepily glow-in-the-dark Phantom Pearls and a super-sized weed gummy, will be available for a limited time at select licensed marijuana dispensaries in six states beginning on October 1.

The new Halloween edibles from Grön (pronounced grewn) continue the company’s history of seasonal product releases. The limited-run Phantom Pearls mirror the company’s popular Sugar-Coated Pearls cannabis-infused gummies, only with a ghostly twist. Both the white lychee lemonade flavored gummies and the packaging produce a special glow-in-the-dark effect when viewed under black light, offering a spooky and fun experience for adult Halloween revelers. Grön’s Phantom Pearls are gluten-free, soy-free, and produce a sativa effect from a full-spectrum cannabis infusion, with 10mg of THC in each pearl, or 100mg THC per package. This indica powered edible packs a punch, with a mystery flavor that will remain under wraps until later this year. The Mystery MEGA consists of a large, sugar-coated gummy that is five times larger than Grön’s standard 10mg Sugar-Coated Pearls, with 100mg of THC per package. The Mystery MEGA contains the full spectrum of cannabinoids and is gluten-free and soy-free. Halloween’s Not Just For Kids Anymore

Data shows that a third of Generation Z consumers planned to spend at least $100 on Halloween last year, while an even larger share of Millennials planned to spend a similar amount. Christine Apple, CEO and founder of Grön, says that the company’s new edible release gives new options for Halloween parties for grownups.

“What makes these edibles stand out is that they offer the same sense of celebration and indulgence that people love about alcohol, but in a way that’s more fun and, let’s be honest, a bit more in tune with the […]
