The value of dispensary licenses in the state has plummeted to its lowest point since the mid-2010s amid an industry-wide revenue slump that has meant smoking deals for customers.
Starting in July, sales at state-licensed marijuana dispensaries began an unprecedented slide, falling below $100 million per month for the first time in years, Arizona Department of Revenue numbers show. October’s numbers reversed the trend mildly as the industry moves into its fall high season, but overall revenue remained relatively low at $92.2 million in combined medical and recreational sales — an 18% decrease over last October.
