She has openly expressed her fondness for one in particular that she enjoys every morning.The ‘Espresso’ singer reportedly swears by a hot drink that can be easily prepared at home. Green tea is touted to be one of the healthiest beverages on the planet, with experts suggesting that it could have many potential health benefits.In a video with ELLE, Sabrina said: "There’s so many benefits of drinking green tea." And she’s right – there is evidence to suggest that green tea can help prevent flu, reduce your blood sugar and even help heart health.It also boosts circulation, provides a natural shot of energy and is known for being anti-inflammatory. There’s also some evidence that drinking green tea may benefit cognition, mood, and brain function. This is possibly due to compounds in green tea like caffeine and L-theanine.According to Healthline, a 2020 review found that green tea may help reduce blood sugar while fasting in the short term. Green tea also contain polyphenols, a type of antioxidant with anti-viral and anti-inflammatory benefits.Studies have shown that the polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate in green tea has antiviral activity, which may come in handy when fighting cold and flu symptoms.Another recent review of studies suggests that regularly drinking green tea could lower many risk factors of heart disease, such as blood pressure or lipids.Several studies show that green tea may help with weight loss . A 2022 study found drinking four or more cups of green tea daily was linked with a 44% lower chance of abdominal obesity, but the effect was only significant for women.
