Cucumbers have become an unexpected star on TikTok. In fact, cucumber salad recipes have been gaining popularity on the social media platform thanks to creators like Logan Moffitt, known to fans as “The Cucumber King.”

Moffitt has dedicated his account to sharing cucumber salads and recipes, many of which have gone viral and racked up millions of views.

Healthline spoke with nutritionists who say they applaud cucumbers’ new-found popularity on social media. The vegetable is not only one that’s high in antioxidants and vitamins, but its high water and fiber content can also help with weight management and digestive health.
